The Easiest Way To Create Image-Based Navigation In WordPress

Text-based menus are okay. But if you want to add some jazz to your navigation bar, images are the way to go. Here’s a very easy way to add images to your WordPress navigation bar without having to edit CSS.

Step 1) Install and activate the plug-in called “Nav Menu Images”.

Nav Menu Images Plug-inStep 2) Create a custom menu. It’s a pretty straightforward process. Here’s a useful tutorial if you’re not sure how to go about creating a custom menu. Your custom menu options should now have a link that allows you to upload an image for your menu items.

Step 3) Upload the image. In the pop-up window where you can upload the image, make sure you click the link that says “Use as featured image”. Then save your custom menu.
